Where to start
Hello Husdom Members,
I’m joining as a newbie to bdsm, married to a trainee dom who is also a natural sub. She has expressed her desires to be dominated by me, but has issues with trust and I know that I can only make this work if I put the effort in and learn how to be an effective dom. It will take some practice, but I believe in the beauty of the art of domination and submission, and I hope that I have a successful future of husdom ahead of me.
If anyone has some immediate advice, links, or ideas for how I might begin then please post them. My aim is to be able to give my sub a session within the next three months in which I surprise her with my composure, compassion, and willingness and ability to give her what she needs.

Welcome to husDOM!
If I were to offer a suggestion from your introduction alone it would be directed at your comment about surprising her with your composure and such to conduct a wonderful scene. I appreciate the element of surprise and how sexy and romantic the gesture will be however, I believe that you will discover that reading about and studying how to have a scene are limited by academics and lack the experience necessary to actually instill the confidence within you as a Dominant that will be required to be successful.
I would suggest discovering your dynamic together… as a couple…

Thank you for your advice, Mr. Fox. Along with Downtime I have now read a number of your blog posts and feel stronger and more self-assured because of them, you write well, and the contributions from other members are all sincere and thought-provoking.
I have spoken with my wife (with more confidence than I would have 48 hours ago), and she believes that I can succeed as her Dominant, and wants to submit to me. We will name her soon, “Matrioshka / MK” (little doll) is a contender. Over the last couple of days she has also been making arrangements with potential subs for herself, in her capacity as a professional dom.
I know that you are a strictly dominant only community, which I respect completely, but I will probably introduce myself to the world of bdsm in a scene with MK on top, as she already has the skills required, and then proceed to top her. I will keep any sub experiences to myself, or share on another forum. I hope that you do not object to my lurking on this site, making use of the resources you have made available, and asking for advice as I progress as a dominant, despite not always fulfilling the role of the Dominant within my marriage.

I appreciate your concern and respect of our community. We have several switches within our community. We simply ask the switch to choose their most dominant role, and join that community.
