Hello all. New here, just checking this place out. I’d say I’m new to the ‘scene’, new to the lifestyle, new to being A Dominant, not necessarily new to being dominant.

What do I mean by that?

As I’ve been extensively researching the topic of BDSM over the last couple of weeks, the things that resounded with me the most was how closely the descriptions of ‘ideal’ D/s qualities and traits sounded like reading descriptions of my own Marriage dynamic.
I came to the realization that, although for some this may be more for ‘fun time’, for us this is who we are. I believe that once you’ve reached that point then you can either
1)Stuff it back in the closet and forget about it
2)Learn about, understand, and embrace who you are
    Obviously, I chose the latter.

Started with simply accepting the role of Dominant in myself, giving gentle commands / requests to see what level of submission she elicited and what level of enjoyment she expressed.
Introduced her to the concept with her first assignment of researching what it means to be a sub.
Led her through an ‘interview’ where I had her express verbally (difficult for her) her desires. Was actually quite enlightening for me. Led her to ask me to assume my role.
This all felt quite natural for me, so here I am, developing our own dynamic in what feels like simply an extension of our already existing relationship.

Trying to pace things to avoid burnout, lots of younguns around the house so routine seems like it’ll be a bit of a struggle. At least while starting out.

Otherwise, here to learn. Appreciate the information I’ve come across so far.

    Thanks
