I am HypnoDom531. I have been active duty Army for most of my life. I retired to the Reserves a year and a half ago. My wife and I have been married 24 years. We have three children (21, 18, and 14). In the last few years we have experimented some with BDSM. (my wife is Southern, submissive, and Catholic so it took her 20 years to tell me what she needed) There has always been a little bit of the D/s dynamic in the bedroom. My wife is the researcher, and was doing a lot of research on the lifestyle. She read me an article about submissives and it sort of clicked for us. She sent me several more articles on the D/s lifestyle and we have jumped in with both feet. Although we’ve played around with it before, Feb 5th was our first real D/s weekend. And it was one of the most wonderful weekends of our lives. So much so, that although we had talked about this being “only in the bedroom”, I would like to take this 24/7. So we are exploring that and enjoying the journey. Unfortunately, I am deploying to Iraq so a lot of this will have to be put on hold until I get back. The Army computers will probably not let me get on this site while I am over there. Has anyone else gone through long separations with their submissive? Do you have any suggestions to help cope and keep the D/s dynamic going over long distance?

    HypnoDom531,

    Welcome aboard!

Your separation will certainly be difficult whether you are D/s-M or not. The added newness will bring with it some frustration but I am sure that there could be some benefits as well. Always be searching for the opportunities, I believe that you will find some.

Maybe beginning in the blog area from the beginning and working your way to current times will allow you to develop a few things or inspire a few ideas that you can implement prior to deploying. These would be simple things that could help build or intensify the atmosphere for your return.

    Best wishes & be safe,

    Mr Fox
