Hello Gentlemen,
I too have come to the D/s lifestyle through the suggestion made by my beautiful and submissive wife, Aithne. We’ve been experimenting and getting our toes wet for about 6 weeks. Our’s is a somewhat sordid tale. Our life together has seen its share of difficult experiences. Any single one would often tear a family apart. When our business failed in 2010, it required me to take work out of state. We we’re separated for almost two years. This was the best possible thing to happen to us because we’d each become aware we hungered for more from each other.
After 20+ years of marriage, life really got in the way. Between the kids, church, business, hobbies, etc. our time together in the bedroom boiled down to fifteen minutes once a month. After moving Aithne and the the two youngest children out to be with me, she and I have had several extremely candid conversations about our relationship. We both decided it wasn’t worth continuing the way we were going. After a couple more years of earnestly trying to make it better between us, I could tell she still wasn’t happy. Not being one to let go easily, with as much patience and as gentle as possible, I confronted the issue.
That’s when she hit me with this alternative to the disastrous way we’d be living our lives together. She told me that she needs the grounding that only comes by submitting to my desires and my direction. Only by doing so does she believe this sense of security and safety can be achieved. She’s willing to trust that I have nothing less than her very best interest in mind. She wants me to be the controlling factor in her life because she finds it so liberating. Boys let me tell you, this is my chance of a lifetime.
Needless to say, I don’t want to fail her in this. Frankly that’s why I’m turning to this community. Though it may not sound it, I’m truly a dominant person. Usually very self reliant and very confident in the actions I take day in a day out. Kind of a rebel rouser. Have the whole tough guy persona and yet…would move the world to make Aithne happy.
