Brand New Dommes
My husband and I are pretty new to all of this. We have been married for 16 years and have just now communicated the need for certain things in our relationship. I am hoping this is the right place to help guide me in as I a bit lost on where to start. I want to be able to alternate roles along the way but to start he needs me as his Dommes. This is what he has needed for a long time but as a man it was never something that he was comfortable telling me. We have dabbled a little bit but it is always me that gets tied and spanked. I need guidance as to how to find my mindset for this. Eager to learn. Thank you

Welcome PDT! My wife and are also new and learning our roles as D/s…which is exciting and overwhelming. This seems to be an extremely supportive group to learn and grow!

You will find much support in the blogs and the community to help with your mindset as well as shared experiences
There are some excellent blogs by Mr. Fox in the “Where to begin” tab on getting started and mindset. If you have not started reading through some of those i would highly encourage it. When you are comfortable chatting with the other Dom(mes) please do so – the community is very welcoming and eager to share our experiences and answer questions.
It looks like you and your husband have had a great discussion and that communication will go far as you build and evolve your dynamic. The one thing to always remind him, there are no gender rules when it comes to the D/s roles and responsibilities it is about who you are and being honest about that – i would encourage him to check out our sister sight – subMrs where the submissive community chats, discussions, blogs, etc. are located.
