I was sighting in my new crossbow today when the unthinkable happened, I broke a bolt. Now anyone who shoots archery will tell you bolts and arrows are not cheap and breaking one sucks, that is until you decide to make a new toy out of what’s left. About 4 inches broke off the tip of the bolt so I stripped the feathers and cut the nock flush. Pulled out my diy supplies and found the perfect handle, anything I think I might be able to use at some point goes in the tote. I drilled a hole in the endcap to fit the bolt through, made a stop out of tape on the bolt and slid the bolt through the handle. Once in place I used electrical tape to cover the fiberglass bolt to keep it from splintering. It was a quick build, about 10 minutes total, using all parts I had on hand, so there was no cost for it. Length is handle 4inches, wand 14inches for a total of 18 inches. it looks like a conductor’s wand and can be used for positions or impact.

Mr K Sir,
It never ceases to amaze me how we all see the world so much differently now that we are on our journeys. Your creativity, ingenuity and new set of lenses to see the world through have given you some terrific new toys. I was in Michael’s craft store yesterday and was thinking about what you would do with some of the leather products there.
Great project and thank you for sharing. I hope it inspires others to repurpose their goods in a kinky way.

I have 2 repurposed carbon fibre shafts I use for canes 🙂
One from my crossbow (heavier, 20”) and one from my upright (whippier, 30”)
Little Peach needs to be warmed up, but she loves them too!
